As I Stepped into the spotlight
I could see the bright lights illuminating the whole of the auditorium, it was shining the light on the stage. The stage reflected the light back. The glorious blue backdrops with the shining, silver metallic strands. They glowed in the light. Paired up with the fairy lights that helped the warm yellow light keep the auditorium bright. The people were amazed at the majestic costumes walking down the catwalk. They glared at the imaginative ideas come to life after they sparked in the kids brains.
All I could touch was thecold air.the cold but majestic breeze travelling from outside. It came in and swarmed the area around my hand. It was freezing cold.
The main thing I Heard was applause and backstage chatter. The many pairs of hands slapping each other. It was sounding like a thunderstorm. The claps just grew and grew and the sound of whistles filled the atmosphere. The backstage chatter were the same things said again and again. “now lights off” or “ your ready to go onto stage”.
During the experience I was tasting absolutely disgusting stuff. The paint on my mask combining with my sweat. It was bouncing drop by drop and then quickly rolled onto my taste buds.
But I felt pride, just absolute happiness.
